We’ve compiled a few FAQs to answer any questions you may have regarding the current situation prior to your stay.
Getting here & Rooms
Directions: We have compiled information for you on how to get here by car, train, bus and plane. To the travel directions
Check in: The rooms are available from 3 pm.
Check-out: We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10:30 am on your day of departure.
Facilities: All rooms are equipped with colour TV, radio, safe, mini bar, balcony, direct dial telephone and internet access. Bathrobes and slippers as well as a hairdryer are provided in the rooms. Changes and errors excepted.
Room service: €5
Hotel prices
- Our hotel prices are per person per night.
- The prices include the use of the facilities of our wellness hotel, indoor adventure pool, steam bath, tepidarium, gym, sauna, adventure shower, Vital bar, light therapy room, relaxation area, parking (also underground carpark), lavish breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, afternoon coffee, cake and gourmet evening menu.
- The room prices vary due to differences in the location, size and equipment of the rooms.
- Double room for single occupancy: If a double room is booked and occupied by one person, an additional €60 (for full board) will be charged on the overnight price per person.
- Additional occupancy: An additional charge of €135 per person is payable for the third adult person 17 years and older in a double room. In the 54 - 60 m² suites and junior suites, €155 per person will be charged for each additional person, and in the alpine suites of the Alpenreidenz, €175 per person will be charged for any additional persons.
- Short breaks: For short breaks, please inquire about prices.
- Christmas Eve & New Year's Eve: Price on request. For the menu and entertainment on Christmas Eve we charge an additional € 50 per person. For the buffet and entertainment on New Year's Eve, we charge an additional €80 per person. For the menu on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year's Day, we charge an additional €40 per person. This will be charged even if you do not avail of these.
- The prices include the current rate of VAT.
- Vouchers: You can create value vouchers online and print them off yourself. Vouchers without value information can be obtained from the hotel on request. To the vouchers
- Children up to the age of 6 can stay in their parents’ room including full board for €75
- Children from 7 to 12 can stay in their parents’ room including full board for €100
- Children from 13 to 16 can stay in their parents’ room including full board for €120
Burgmühlentaler, free nights, free massages as part of our packages, as well as reduced packages, are only valid following written confirmation from us.
Please understand that our packages cannot be combined with other offers.
The spa tax at the Fischen climatic health resort is currently €3.20 per person per day.
For children from the age of 6 to 14, the tourist tax is €1.60.
- Hotel bill: We ask for your understanding that hotel bills can only be paid by check, EC card, credit card or cash.

Sauna area: Two saunas. Admission to the sauna from 14 years. Children under 14 may only use the swimming pools if accompanied by an adult. Family sauna heated on request.
Swimming pools: heated indoor pool with whirlpool function and waterfall, outdoor pool heated all year round.
Wellness area opening times
- Indoor pool: daily from 7 am to 9 pm. Whirlpool, waterfall and hydromassage bench in the indoor pool only open from 8 am, closed for lunch from 1 to 3 pm.
- Outdoor pool: in summer - daily from 7 am to 8 pm, in winter from 7 to 9 am and from 3 to 6 pm.
- Sauna area: in summer from 1 to 9 pm, in winter and on bad weather days 10 am to 9 pm, women’s sauna 12am - 5pm
Massages & treatments: in our Vitalschlössle Mon-Sat from 8 am to 6 pm and by appointment. From October to April: by appointment, also on Sundays. Wellness cancellations should be made at least 24 hours before the appointment, otherwise 75% of the treatment price will be charged.
Spa bag: Bathrobe, towels and slippers are provided to our hotel guests free of charge for your stay at Parkhotel Burgmühle.
Breakfast buffet: You can look forward to an extensive enjoyable breakfast at the Parkhotel Burgmühle with speciality coffees, a selection of teas, freshly squeezed juices, a selection of breads and rolls, sausage, cheese, fruit spreads, cereals, fresh fruit, and eggs prepared the way you like them.
Lunch: Light buffet with salad, soup and a dish such as chicken, pasta or liver cheese.
Coffee & cake: In the afternoon we serve homemade cakes.
Evening gourmet menu: In the evening, enjoy a 5-course menu or theme nights. Gala dinner once a week.

- Breakfast: 8 - 10am
- Lunch: 12:30 - 2pm
- Coffee and cakes: 2 - 5pm
- Dinner: 6 - 8pm (start of the dinner service)
Room service: We’ll be happy to serve breakfast, lunch or dinner in your room for an additional charge of €5.
Bar: Open from 2pm - 1am
Location: The Parkhotel Burgmühle is located in Fischen im Allgäu in the Illertal valley at the foot of the Hörner mountain range. Hiking trails and in winter, the cross-country ski trail, can be accessed directly from our hotel. Oberstdorf is only a few minutes drive away.

Golfing: 2 premium golf courses just a few minutes’ drive away. The hotel has a room for storing your golf equipment.

Biking: Bike room in the hotel. Bicycles can be rented in Fischen im Allgäu.
Tennis: Play tennis free of charge on the tennis courts in Fischen
Recreation room: with darts, table football and table tennis
Mini Golf: Mini golf course in the spa park behind the hotel.
cross-country skiing,: Cross county ski trails in the spa park beside the Parkhotel Burgmühle.
Skiing: Ski lift in Fischen im Allgäu. Free ski bus to other ski resorts. The hotel has a ski room with ski boot dryer

Mountain railways included in summer packages: From May to November, Parkhotel Burgmühle guests receive a Oberstdorf and Kleinwalsertal mountain railway ticket free of charge - for as many rides as you like during your holiday
Guests receive an Allgäu-Walser-Card: offering lots of freebies for your stay, such as free use of the ski lifts in Fischen. You’ll receive the Allgäu-Walser-Card free of charge from reception upon arrival. If you stay 7 nights or more, you will also receive the public transport holiday card preloaded on the Allgäu-Walser card, which offers free bus and train rides in the region. More information

Cancellation & Travel Cancellation Insurance
To ensure that you receive compensation for any possible financial loss in the event of cancellation or interruption of your stay, e.g. due to illness, accident or unemployment - including family members - we recommend the products of our partner ERGO Reiseversicherung.
With cancellation insurance, you are optimally insured against the financial risks of a cancellation or curtailed stay.
Cancellation Plus insurance offer full coverage. In addition to the benefits of the cancellation insurance, it also includes medical repatriation with emergency medical assistance (the statutory health insurance companies do not cover medical repatriation!), insurance of luggage and bicycle cover.
Please note that in the event you need to cancel your stay, we will have to charge you for the cancellation costs in accordance with our GTC.

- You cancel free of charge up to 2 weeks before the start of your booking
- less than 2 weeks before departure we charge 60% of the total accommodation price
We therefore recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance. This way you will avoid cancellation fees if you can't take your holiday. (see below)
